Actually, while under .500, the Paterno-Cooper 3-5 isn't really a sleep talking nightmare scenario, especially when compared to Cooper's 3-8 bowl record and 2-10-1 Michigan record.

That was the pathetic pollsters who got Penn St. there in the first place. The score should have been worse.
Even still, there were two key plays in that game: whack job Shane Conlin's offsetting personal foul on the LA thug QB; Paterno putting a 5'7" injury replacement safety in the game to cover Keith Jackson. What a moron's move that was.
Except for a few answers that could have been won on appeal, Nick the Dick has been reported outta here.
