(question continued)

recently descended from a European line, which of the three lineages do you derive from?

Source:

"Fossil evidence of humanity's entry into Europe is confirmed by studying Y-chromosome genetic markers that are inherited only male-to-male and do not recombine. The genotype of 22 markers from 1,007 European men showed that more than 80 percent of the European population’s gene pool arose from two distinct migrations of Paleolithic ancestors, one 40,000 and the other 22,000 years ago ( www: geneletter ). More recent Neolithic farmers (arrived 10,000 years ago) only comprise 20 percent of the European gene pool. Oota et al (2001) found a similar continuity between the pre-Neolithic humans (25,000 BP) and the present Semang of the Malay Peninsula, while the Neolithic humans in this area seemed to be ancestral to the Senoi."

I don't know where you get these 'facts' from, but I can trace my ancestors from a migration 14000 years ago, along the Mediterranean, stopping at a few touristic spots along the way.

Without a DNA test, no one could even pretend to answer that....and even with a DNA test, one could only narrow it down to less and more probables. Based on what they do know of their origins, one could assume I guess....but I bet you half would be wrong.

Were you not the kid the other day laughing at anyone who suggested humans had been here longer than 6000 years? Have you thrown down your suggested faith in a literal interpretation of the Bible in just a matter of days?

And, don't tell me, you actually believe it all?
I could tell.
How do you verify the dates? If you can get that far, i might listen to what you have to say.

I have had my dna tested. My clan probably entered Europe from Anatolia or Mesoptamia on the border sof the neolithic age, though I am part of a 'sub-clade' which appears to be slightly older and may have actually entered Europe up to a few thousand years before the others of the 'clan'. My clan appears to have split in 2, one large group heading north, another heading along the Med. My family are from Ireland, and I believe my lot crossed over from the Atlantic seaboard from somewhere between Brittany and Portugal.
My partner would be from the middle migration in the lup, according to your data, and his ancestors entered the British Isles after leaving the Dordogne and Basque regions where they'd sheltered during the ice Age. his dna is very close to that of one of the Cheddar Gorge skeletons who is about 10,000 years old.
