on wikiepedia read :Illness and possible retirement
On 26th October 2009, it was announced that Lesnar had pulled out of the UFC 106 card in which he was set to face Shane Carwin for the UFC Heavyweight Championship due to an illness, UFC President Dana White said that Brock had been ill for three weeks and claimed he had never been this sick in his life and that it would take him a while to recover, his fight with Carwin was rescheduled for UFC 108 in early 2010.[112] On 4th November 2009, it was confirmed that Lesnar was suffering from mononucleosis and that his bout with Carwin would have to wait a bit longer, thus the fight for UFC 108 was cancelled.[113] On 14th November 2009, at the UFC 105 post-fight conference, Dana stated that Brock may have a career ending illness and that he may be stripped of the title.
what do you think about this ? and do you want brock to retiment

Brock lesnar faces retiment or being stripped of the title ?

I think that if Brock's career is over (which it isn't) then ya take the title retire him with it and call it a day. Carwin vs cain for the title.

If brock will be out for a year, create a interim title carwin vs cain for the title winner faces brock when he is back up and running.

im getting kinda tired of all these comments "thank god brock might be gone" its ludicrous that people still don't respect his skills as a fighter after dominating Mir and randy. not even just dominating but dominating them at their own games. he put frank mir on the ground exactly where frank wanted to be and wrecked him without once being in danger of a single submission. he fought randy wrestling him against the cage, using dirty boxing exactly what randy is known for. so how about we forget he was in the the WWE and start giving him credit as a fighter because if u look at the way the heavyweight division there are only 2 guys that are even a possibility for the title (cain and carwin) other then those 2 brock is undeniably the best in the division.

Just because you don't like a guys personality doesn't mean u cant respect his ability's as a fighter. i personally think Andersin Silva is a douche bag but respect that he is if not the best PFP fighter one of the best.

Brock lesnar faces retiment or being stripped of the title ?

If he's going to be out of action for an extended period of time they need to temporarily strip him of his title, and set up an interim title match. The only problem is that the top contenders for that title are also out of commission at the moment...

Honestly, I hope it's nothing serious or career ending. As much as I hate Brock, I want to see him lose the title to a superior fighter, not mono or whatever else it is that's got him so effed up.

If it is a serious health concern then retirement is a possibility. If that is the case then the title should be open and a match made for the top 2 challengers. If Brock needs extended time to recover from an illness before he is able to fight then make an interim championship. Then when Brock returns he fights the interim champ.

I think he should be stripped and not retire if out for an extended period of time.. I mean, i don't necessarily like him, but I want him to be beat or at least have a good solid career before being forced to retire.. I don't like seeing anybody's career end due to injury/circumstances beyond their control..

so I just want him to come back..and lose his title fairly.. either by interim till he gets back or by losing when he can fight again.

i hope he gets better, and continues his career with the UFC, but what ever happens happens, I don't want him to retire he's still a rookie in the sport of mma, and has alot to accomplish still, i could care less if he is stripped of the belt, I just hope he makes a healthy recovery, and returns next year.

Lesnar would not be the first famous wrestler, musician, actor, fighter, or athlete to contract some career ending or life threatening illness. If that were so it would just go to show you that even healthy, powerful athletes can succumb to diseases and ailments just like everyone else. It is always unfortunate if and when something like this happens and only time will tell. It was first leaked in the tabloids that Patrick Swayze had terminal cancer and that turned out to be true and of course Farrah Faucet succumbed to a different type of cancer than Swayze earlier this year. Fate can be cruel to anyone really and while I don't care for the guy myself I really don't know him and would rather see him lose his title in the cage to Fedor or someone.

I'm a fan of his because I could relate to him in the sense that it's always been an uphill battle for him. He beats Mir (Mir will come back and beat him) and people boo him. WTF?!

I'm hoping that Brock is okay and fights. If he loses to Carwin then he loses to him by a fight. If he wins that's one more for the big monster.

As for who can beat him I'll say this again. Carwin, Cain, Gonzaga, Mir and Noguiera. Cain gets better every time he fights and Mir went into the fight underestimating Brock Gonzaga and noguiera are the best bjj heavyweights.
