Annie Lennox is a well known name in the world of music and for good reason as Lennox is one of the few people to have received the Oscar, Brit, Grammy and Golden Globe awards. Lennox is the lead vocalist of the immensely popular rock and Synth pop band Eurythmics comprising of herself and David Stewart; Lennox has also performed solo on several occasions.
Lennox started off her career as the lead singer for the short lived pop band The Tourists (1978-80) before forming Eurythmics with band member David Stewart. Lennox won the Oscar Award for best song from the movie The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King ('Into the West') in 2004. The song also won the Golden Globe awards for Best Original Song in the same year.
Lennox won two Brit awards in 1993 with Eurythmics winning two awards again in 1986. Lennox won the Grammy awards in 1996 for the song "No More 'I Love Yous'" in the category Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
